Later on in 1962-1965 I enrolled at the Mayfield Jr High in Mayfield Village. From,1965 until I graduated in 1970,I went to Mayfield High School Home of the Wilcats. While attending my senior year, I volunteered at the Richmond General Hosptial in Richmond Hts, as a candy stripper. This hosptial is now part of the Cleveland Clinc until it was torn down for a bigger and better hosptial. After high school, I started working at Hillcrest Hospital .know branch of the Cleveland Clinc, in the dietary department from 1970-1975. While on a Hawiian vaction, I feel in love with the islands. I left the hosptial and I moved to Oahu from 1975-1981. I worked as a short order cook at the Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki, It was a fanstantic 5 years living in Oahu I loved to people watch and did I ever see them walking around Waikiki Beach. It was funny watching the tourist on the beach with we had a brief rain coming off the mountains. They would run for shelter even though they were wearing swimsuits on. I loved going to the Interntional Market Place in Waikiki to have some shaved ice or just stroll down the main strip watching the tourist pass by. Hears a great tip for anyone going to Waikiki is if you want to hear some Hawaiian music being played at night stroll the beaches along where the hotels are. For free, you can listen and watch the entertaiment. I was a very popular family member and friends. They would enjoy their time with me in Hawaii as soon here with my father.

In 1981, my Australian roommate fell in love with a Chinese Hawaiian. They wanted to get married in Hawaii but her mother changed their mind. My friend asked me to become her bride's maid. Of course I said yes. So after I got a passport and our tickets were off to the land of OZ, Sydney. We all lived in Double Bay, New South Wales until I moved into a great doctor's family in Rose Bay where I lived as a live in nanny for two adormable twin boys. They have a mini home in their backyard where ai lived. While living with them, we went to see the kola bears in the parks, and I got to ride in their boat for New Year Eve celebration. We had all had a great time watching the fireworks over the Sydney Opera House. I stayed with them until I moved to Bondi Beach where all the tourist go to see the surfers and the beacher goers. Here you can find the Japanese tourtist clicking away at the topless beach goers. Don't worry, Its away from the family portion of the beach. Its easy to get around the area via the trains running everywhere. I took the train to work and to my favorite passtime watching the Eastern Suburbs Roosters playing at the Oval. They play rugby. I also go to the Sydney Oval to see the Sydney Swans play their first Aussie Rules football game. I took the train to the Sydney Opera House to see for the last time Dame Joan Sutherland sing "Lucia di Lammermoor". There is no bad seats watching any entertinment. While working at Tooths Brewery as a short order cook, I went to East Sydeny Tech in downtown Sydney, a two years for culinary school. While working at the brewery, I got to learn how to play cricket. Its was fun but I had to remember to bring my bat along while running. After that, I was hooked on cricket, so I started going to the Sydney Oval, to watch several fanstatic cricket matches. Loved every minute of it. After two years, of cooking school I left since I didn't want to cut into dead animals but I did learn the metric system. In Australia, the colleges are free. All you have to do is pay for your books and other items. I loved the people, sports and food. I stayed from 1981-1987. After having long distance phone calls with my family, I moved back to the United States. In 1988, I moved to Santa Ana California with my father. in his condo, until I could find work and a place of my own. I moved into a beautiful home in Clarmont. It's a cute ivy league college town east of Los Angelas, It was a backdriop for movies such as " Teen Wolf 2" and" Forever Young". I worked for a catering company as a short ordercook. I also went to Citrus Comminity College in Glendora for a two year library tech degree. I moved back to Ohio in 1993. where I lived in several c northeast Ohio. cities: Willoughy Hills. Solon and back to my homertown of Mayfield Hts. All are eastern suburbs of Cleveland. I went to Kirtland Comuunity College, in Kirkland, Ohio for a two year degree in the Arts.

Diploma from Lakeland Community College

Since, I wanted to go to Kent State Univesity, I first wen to a two year college then I went to down to KSU for about two years until my money ran out. While in Kent, I worked in several resturants, grocery stores, and a Marriott reservationist. My finally working stop was the Cuyahoga Public library system. I just retires from working since 1970. I love to knit, crochet, watch MGM musicals and old black and white movies.

Research Notes

Hi Anne,

I have looked at your profile as part of the Global Project. You have one of the most interesting biographies I have read. Between Swiss, French, Italian - if I need help with languages then I know where to go.

I loved working in Jamaica. I am sure we will keep in contact.

Cheers, Steve.

Hi Steve

Tyvm for your reply. Unfortunately I don’t speak or read French or Italian. I know how to read the main words Birth, Death and marriage in my researches. ℹ get help from my Italian Project teammates. And my distant cousin in France 🇫🇷 to help with these two languages. Have a great day. Cheers Anne

Welcome to Military and War, Anne. The leader is Natalie Trott.

I have awarded the badge to you. https://wwwFo.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Military_and_War The project page has a red box out lining each war covered by the umbrella project, Military and War.

World War II is on the list as well as the Vietnam War. For KIA, WIA etc, you will need to use the Roll of Honor Template. You will need to post the template below the Biography lines (for stickers ).

I took the liberty of awarded Roll of Honor for some of the ancestors you mentioned. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Roll_of_Honor

Hi Anne,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hello Anne,

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
