Biography

Marguerite Després was born on 23 Aug 1827 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the daughter of Placide Després and Anastasie Richard.^[1][2]

Marguerite married Siméon Goguen, son of Germain Goguen and Henriette Thibodeau, on 19 Jan 1846 in Cocagne.^[3][4] Their children were:

4. Edouard Goguen (born 15 Aug 1856)

In the 1871 census Marguerite, age 48, was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick with her husabnd Simion and children Placide, Wilfred, Edward, Feijime [Onésime], Sarah, Ephimme [Ephrem], and Sylvie.^[6]

In the 1881 census Marguerite, age 55, was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick with her husband Simeon and children Edoire [Edouard], Ennesime [Onésime], Sarah, Efrom [Ephrem], and Silvie.^[7]

In the 1891 census Marguerite, age 60, was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick with her husband Simeon and children Onezime, Sara, and Sylvie.^[8]

She died on 22 Jan 1892 in Cocagne.^[9]
