Biography

Andrew Jackson “A.J.” Collins was born in 1831. He was the son of David Collins and Polly Dale. He was the paternal grandson of Valentine Collins and Dicey Gibson and maternal grandson of PVT Charles Dale and Jemima Spradlin.

Andrew married his first wife Amanda Collins on April 16, 1852 in Johnson County, Kentucky. He married his second wife Cynthia Elizabeth Collins after June 6, 1860. Their marriage record has not yet been found.

He passed away in September 25, 1911 in Carona, Cherokee County, Kansas.
