NOTE: Observe caution not to confuse this person with Keturah Brown (1774-1835), daughter of Rebecca (Lewis) & Nehemiah Brown, who married Joseph Brown.

Biography

Keturah Brown was the twelfth and final child of Anne (Main) Brown (1731-1822) and Zebulon Brown (1730-1814) of Stonington, New London, Connecticut . Her birth date is not certain, however has been published as 1775 in the Brown Genealogy (1909) [1] and other genealogical references of the southern Connecticut region.

She married 3 Mar 1795 in Stonington, Connecticut, Isaac Miner. They had the following children, all born at Stonington:

  1. Keturah (Miner) Chapman (1797-1878), b.28 Sep 1797, m. Jesse Chapman
  2. Isaac William Miner (1799-1888), b.11 Feb 1799, m. 1829, Eliza Green.
  3. Zebulon Brown Miner (1801-1868) b.13 Jan 1801, m. Hulda Main.
  4. Anna (Miner) Main (1803-1888), b.11 Dec 1803, m. Prentice Main.
  5. Palmer Niles Miner (1805-1883), b.29 Jul 1805, m. Martha P. York.
  6. Denison Wheeler Miner (1809-1886), b.13 Dec 1809, m. Clarissa M, Park
  7. Lydia E. (Miner) Main (1815-1884), b. Aug 1815, m. Christopher Main
  8. Mary Elizabeth (Miner) Chesebrough (abt.1816-1869), b. about 22 Jun 1814 ; m. Luke Chesebrough.

Keturah (Brown) Miner died 10 APR 1854. Stonington,New London, Connecticut. Her grave is in Miner Yard, off Miner Pentway, off N. Anguilla Road, North Stonington, New London, Connecticut.
