Can I un-adopt a pre-1500 profile (Diaz-159)? I am not certified.

It's on the Privacy tab.

Choices:

[Remove as manager] removes you as PM, but you stay on the Trusted List, which means the profile stays on your Watchlist

Big "Remove Yourself" button removes you altogether.
