Liz Shifflett keeps chugging along as a wonderful Wikitreer

Liz Shifflett is a very long-time WikTreer who is wonderful for her willingness to help out wherever help is needed -- and to  master almost any skill (or at least try) in order to do so.

I don't know more than a tiny fraction of what she has done here.  I've seen her contributing everywhere: Magna Carta, Huguenots, New Netherland, Virginia, Southern Colonies, Tennessee, Wales... You name it, and she's probably been there. I can't recall all of the different projects where she has served as a Project Leader or Project Coordinator, but I know from my Badges list that she accepted me into the New Netherland Project back in 2014 and gave me a "participant" badge for a souce-a-thon in 2017. And I do recall with the gratitude the assistance she has given to different projects where I'm involved -- updating project pages, collecting images, crafting stickers and other templates, running the project's  "join" thread in G2G, and on and on.

And periodically she says she's cutting back, but she keeps on doing what she does. (I suspect that she's having fun.)

Thank you, Liz, for your enthusiastic willingness to help where help is needed, and for continuing to chug along. smiley

Thanks so much Ellen - you made me laugh. And yes, I'm having fun, despite feeling like I need to be in a 12-step program. Hi! I'm Liz, and I'm a WikiTree addict :D

P.S. to K. Smith: Chug-a-lug made me laugh too!

I'm pretty sure you don't remember but, you helped me make my first significant connection almost two years ago. Thanks again! Kevin
I do remember now! I needed the "Kevin" to remind me :D
Too many Kevins, K's, K.'s, or is it the Smith?
Apparently it is hard to tell us Smiths apart.
Too many K's & Smiths - and Kay too. :D

Thanks Gary! And ... we're related through a "new-to-me" line (only recently connected Martha as wife of John Gaulding, so I haven't yet explored her Barnett line).

Liz and I have interacted for over a decade here on Wikitree.  I really miss her as a co-leader, but am very thankful that she hasn't abandoned us and continues to contribute in oh so many ways here at Wikitree.

Many thanks

Thank you, Ellen, for posting this wonderful tribute to Liz angel who always has been a solid angel. Liz and I as well as many others were the original "Greeters" and boy, did we have fun! I have no idea how she managed to learn so much as she expanded her versatility in genealogical research. When she started working on the Wales project, it was hard work and a whole new learning curve but she mastered it. She's not afraid to learn new things, like making templates when that project started. Frankly, Liz, I am in awe of your genius but especially love your sense of humor. Keep on chugging!

Thanks Maggie! We surely did have fun in the Greeters Group - over a decade ago! Wow!
