Australia project box [closed]

Question

The {{Australia}} project box template has a timeframe of 1901-. The project however covers what is now Australia in any period and manages some profiles like these:

• Elizabeth (Veale) Macarthur (1766 - 1850)
• Samuel Marsden (abt. 1765 - 1838)

where the death date is before 1901 and thus the presence of the template is flagged in the Suggestions with Error 846: Died before template time frame.

I think the timeframe should be removed from the {{Australia}} project box.

If you see any more with this same DBE noted, the correct Project Box is {{Colonial Australia}}

The Colonial Australia project box applies for people born prior to 1901. Does that resolve your issue, or are you asking if the Australia sticker can apply additionally for all time periods?

Thanks Gillian, I hadn't found that page. I had simply gone to the {{Australia}} template page which says "The Project Box belongs on any profile managed by the project." It's clearly not any profile, but just those born after 1901. Perhaps the wording on the template page needs changing to make that explicit with a note there linking to the other project boxes to make them easy to find.

The project box should probably not be using the timeframe because that project box is for any profile where the Australia project is PM.  Australia project is probably covering anyone that lived in Australia, before 1901, also.
