Assuming you have exported the file, and uploaded it into your software, most modern genealogy programs will allow you to export only the data you want, for example, ancestors of a person you select. That exported file can then be imported into a new file.
I use RootsMagic and have done this a few times. WikiTree puts some fields in the file that I don’t use … I think codes for the profile manager, possibly privacy. So I export the file without these, then import it into a new file. This takes only a few minutes, at most.
You can generally exclude living people.
A caveat, middle names, if the middle name field is used, are exported in a non-standard field. These won’t get imported.
From you pr software you then generate charts and reports needed.
