Which Cambridgeshire or Huntingdonshire notable are you most closely connected to?

Last week's WikiTree Challenge to benefit the Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Family History Society has us looking at notables from that area in the Connection Finder. We start with Oliver Cromwell, the victorious leader of the Parliamentarian army in the English Civil Wars.

Here are the other ten notables. If these connections interest you, join us live or watch our video event on Wednesday, August 16.

Which of these is closest to you on our single family tree? If you're one of the 30.4 million of us who are connected to each other on our big tree, you can check with the Connection Finder.

In addition to the above and our many Featured Connections, you can check your connections to any category on WikiTree, such as First English Civil War and Ace Fighter Pilots. Click the green MyConnections button in the upper right hand corner of the category page.

Let us know how you're related below. If you want to share your connection on social media with cousins and friends, click the "get shareable image" below the results, e.g. Ruth Handler and Oliver Cromwell. Then just upload it along with the URL of your direct connection. (Please refrain from sharing your connection on the featured profiles themselves, though. It clutters conversations on research and collaboration. Thanks!)

Help us find and improve the profiles for next week's Internet Innovators feature.

Related to Cromwell on my mother's side - he would be my 6th cousin many times removed.

Duncan of Scotland is my 23rd great grandfather on my father's side. Already had him in my tree. My Dad's mother seems to be related to everyone interesting - bunches of mistresses, rulers, a few saints and a pope.

David of Scotland- by virtue of the gateway ancestor  Audrey Barlow (Almy) ---   Grand Uncle only I think -- by virtue of his brother William Dunkeld.  Aylesbury, Pabenham, Engaine, Fauconberg, Ros/Roos  ... otoh - considering that I misread David of Scotland to have meant David I ...   well, it made a difference.   I'm guessing it is about 25-27 generations back - although I haven't mapped the exact distance yet (too much other stuff to do) - although once you get into the Dunkelds, those sort of end up standing out.

Am pretty sure I am related to Oliver Cromwell - but considering, effectively, he sold another Great Grandfather to indentured servitude at the Saugus ironworks (James Adams) -- I guess, since Adams only had children once he got to North America, and despite how horrible the post battle of Dunbar was for Scots' prisoners, still in all, technically I owe my existence to Cromwell and the events of September 1650.
