Biography

Tombstone has age of 47 years 10 months and 25 days.

NAME: His given name is most commonly listed as Henry, but his son John Adam Zeller's death certificate lists him as "Jno. H. Zellars" and FindAGrave.com lists him as "John Henry Zellers." So it is likely that Henry was his middle name, but was the name he was commonly known by. His last name most often appears as Zellers, but his gravestone and the death certificate for his daughter Catherine Swartz list him as "Henry Zeller." In the marriage license application and death certificate for his son, John Adam, his last name appears as Zellars.

BIRTH DATE: His birthdate is uncertain. FindAGrave.com lists it as Apr 8, 1810. However his tombstone shows his age as of his death as 47 years, 10 months & 25 days, which would suggest that his date of birth was Mar 9, 1807. And he is listed as age 44 in the 1850 census, which would set his year of birth at 1805 or 1806.

BIRTH PLACE: FindAGrave.com shows his birthplace as Snyder Cnty PA. Presumably this means that he was born in what is now Snyder Cnty, as Snyder Cnty did not exist until 1855.

Zeller-212 and Zellers-175 appear to represent the same person because: Both WikiTree profiles are based on the FindAGrave entry for John Henry Zellers. Both profiles show him married to Catharine Knouse. Zellers-175 was created for the father of John Adam Zellers & Zeller-212 appears to have been created for the father of Catherine Zeller.
