Biography

Rhoda was born Sep. 10, 1789 in Durham, Greene County, New York, United States. Other sources give her birth year as 1798.

She is the daughter of John Young and Abigail Howe.

She married John Portineus Greene (1793 - 1844) February 11, 1813. They had the following children: Evan Melbourne Greene (1814 - 1882), Addison Greene (1819 - 1892), Fannie Eliza Greene Decker (1822 - 1901), and John Young Greene (1826 - 1880).

Church Ordinance: Baptism on April 13, 1832 (probably in New York) (Reference: Family Group sheet-Spouse; Temple Index Bureau)

She passed away Jan. 18, 1841, in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, United States. Other sources give her death year as 1840. She is buried in the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, United States.
