Susan (Yeo) Scown was born in Cornwall, England.

Susanna Yeo was born about 1807, and was baptized at Werrington, Cornwall, England, on 17 May 1807, the daughter of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Mason.^{[1] [2]}

On 26 Dec 1832 she married John Thomas Scown (Widower) at St. Mary Magdalene, Launceston, Cornwall.^{[3] [4]}

Susan Scown (widow of John Thomas Scown) died on 25 January 1888, aged 83 years, in Milang, Strathalbyn, South Australia. ^[6] She was buried at Meadows Wesleyan Cemetery, Meadows, District Council of Mount Barker, South Australia. ^[7]
