John was a son of William Wood and Mary Parnell. He married Susannah Furnis on 1 November 1716.
John Wood of Chesterfield, Burlington County died intestate before 14 Oct 1730, when an inventory of his estate was conducted. His widow, Susannah Wood of Burlington County paid the bond to administer his estate 3 Nov 1730, with William Cook of Chesterfield (yeoman) and Ralph Peart of Burlington (saddler) serving as fellow bondsmen.[1]
