Biography
I tried answering the Question of the Week regarding what my favorite free genealogy sites are, but it said that my answer appeared to be a duplicate. I don't understand why. My answer wasn't on the list. Anyway, since it wouldn't accept it I've added my answer here:
I love West Virginia Division of Culture and History. It has birth, marriage, and death records with images. West Virginia Division of Culture and History has changed its URL to https://wvculture.org/vital-records-search/
I've had a lot of luck with Chancery Records in Virginia, http://www.virginiamemory.com/collections/chancery/ Some have images and some only refer to the original records. I've found images of Wills, etc.
Thank you for adding information and people to my tree. I am having a hard time documenting my father as the son of John J Bridgeman and find any other information on his family.
Tried to private message but system is problematic. I'm wanting to know more about your O'Neill/Hendry ancestor as according to the DNA/Gedmatch (WP2199202)
We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.
Thank you for the response, Audrey. We understand that every member's available time changes from year to year. If you would like to rejoin the project, please follow the directions at the project page.
Donny Howard here. Just noticed our connection. 7th cousins, once removed. Common ancestors are Haines/Matlack, on my dad's paternal side. I checked our gedmatch, and found with we share a 10.4 segment with me, but not with dad. That happens sometimes, but maybe connected closer on my mom's side. I'd like to extend an invitation to my multi-family Facebook group, Howard and Allied Families. It has about 650 people in it, so far, and some good genealogist. We share old pictures, stories, sources, etc. and help each other. You can go to my profile for a link to it, and my email. Even if you aren't on FB, I'd love to hear back in a message, or preferably email. It's always nice meeting a new cousin! Thanks.
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
Hi Audrey. I just made some drastic changes to Burgess-6348 and wanted to touch bases with you as you are the profile manager. The profile had some information from a similarly named man but I believe I have it straight now. Thom
Audrey, I've followed your "Angleo" profiles for some time and still wonder whether there is a connection to my family line. The Philadelphia region is the right place, but I haven't yet found the connection. I currently have house guests, but I'll contact you again next week and we can compare notes, if you like.
Take a look at the Cemeterist Formats link at the foot of my profile.
To answer your Mount Hebron question more directly, first, take a gravestone photo, then, develop a profile page for that person from the gravestone info (and any other info you might find - but only the gravestone would be necessary). Then go the the Mount Hebron Cemetery page, go to 'Edit' and 'fill in the blanks' from each person's profile page. Add the gravestone photo at the end.
If you have any specific questions, my email address is [email address removed]
I've been following your work on Samuel Hammond, my 5th great grandfather. My cousin and I are making a trip to Lancaster Co SC next Monday to visit family sites, including the Hammond cemetery where Samuel is buried.

d'oh. And then I looked at the message April posted when she awarded your badge... Throckmorton-110 _is_ documented in Richardson. Take a look at this checklist from [Base Camp]. Throckmorton is listed at Base Camp as underway (by you... did I do that or April?).
Anyway, his profile is well developed already by PGM. I can add a = Magna Carta trail = section to it that has info from/citation to Richardson & notes the trail going to Quincy and de Vere (probably not tonight though).
I can help you with what needs done. Do you want to take on Throckmorton's trail & be his Guardian? (see Space:Trail Tracks)
Hi Audrey. Coward-318 -- I don't understand why you wrote "the footnotes make no sense" when only one footnote needed further info in a the source section, i.e., S50.
Also it wasn't true that "references are made to materials not shown on the page." Only one footnote/reference was not linked to source.
It's easier for me to correct something if I know exactly what needs to be corrected.
Only one single simple correction needed to be made.
The footnotes made sense.
The sources made sense.
Thanks
