I have been been working on Margaret Montague (formerly Malthouse) and would like to propose some changes and additions to her profile.... Malthouse-2.
She was married twice. Her first marriage was with Thomas Grove (Groffe) on 3 Jul 1552. Her second Marriage with William Montague (Montague-33) on27 May 1560. This would be the second William Montague on her profile and his birth year should be 1536 (NEHGR). Her attachment with the First William Montague (Montague-1068) should be eliminated.
Her estimated birth year based upon this information would be 1530-1535. if you look at the comments made by Steve Klomps on the profile of Margaret Bullock (Bullock-111), proposed mother of Margaret Malthouse, her birth year should be much earlier, approximately 1510, which would fit this profile.
Mr. Wolfe, do you know where to find Thomas R Shockley in 1810 census? I am searching for a Jacob Cole who may have been with him in the 1810 census. Jacob Cole married a Lydia Shockley who is supposed to be Thomas's daughter. Karen Kinnard
Please check you Error report and fix inconsistencies, it you don't have time for this, relinquish relevant profiles, please. Our goal is accuracy for our One World family tree. Thanks!
Hi! I've come across two Janet Campbells I suspect are the same person and I see that both have been withheld as Unmerged Matches. You are one of the two Profile Mgrs. Considering the date that appears for the Unmerged Matches is from two years ago, perhaps you could re-examine the situation. They appear as sisters with the same parents and same birth and death dates, although each has a different husband. If you agree (am posting this message to the other Profile Mgr), please merge Campbell-8678 into Campbell-2356, adding the former's husband (Alexander Menzies, Menzies-148) if appropriate. Thanks!
The Wells family was abundant in North Carolina, and Wells was a popular name. I have recently been researching the Joseph Wells and Charity Carrington family for a DAR ancestor proof. Their son John was born in Bladen County, NC while they were members of Carver's Creek monthly meeting. Shortly thereafter, in 1752, they joined Cane Creek MM in Orange County. John their son is liberally mentioned in their records and was eventually dismissed from the church in 1780 for marrying a non- Quaker. My ancestor John Wells died in Orange County, North Carolina in 1826. His probate file is thorough and mentions all his children. There is no doubt that he is the son of Joseph Wells and Charity Carrington, as his btother Isaac Wells is mentioned as a caretaker. The John Wells who went to Mississippi is not a child of Joseph and Charity. Neither is "John Allen Wells." Would you like the will and the Quaker records?
Steven Douglas Osborn is my great-great grandfather. He was born in Gentry County, MO. He died 2 Jan 1944 and is buried in the Greenridge Cemetery, Gentry County, MO. He was married to Eliza Ann Gabriel - born 10 Jan 1853 in Gentry County, MO. She died 15 Oct 1908 in Gentry County, MO and is also buried in the Greenridge Cemetery. Her parents are David Gabriel born 24 Oct 1826 died 19 Aug. 1911 and Mary C. ? born 27 July 1834 and died 7 Apr 1903. They are both buried in the Greenridge Cemetery. It is located about 1/2 way between Gentry and Alanthus Grove, MO, in Gentry County, MO. Many of my "Osborn" ancestors are buried there, as well as my parents.
I was confused about which profile I was looking at. I'm going to back off and look at it again later. Thank you for having a level head and helping clear things up. I have access to the Familysearch records, and they are fairly clear.
Thank you very much for alerting me to the duplicate profile for Richard Cheney. I have merged my duplicate profile into yours and have initiated a merge of the duplicate profiles of his wife.
Hi Herbert! Sorry you had to wait. I just adopted Damen-31 and it needed a few more touches. I've approved the merge. I'm so happy Damen-31 is going to be merged into the family line!!
