Research Notes

Lawrence may have been the Lawrence Winfield who witnessed the Lunenburg Co. Virginia will of John Boyd in 1748 (proved in Halifax Co. in 1757).[1]

Location Notes: Changed birth location from "Dinwiddle, Virginia Colony" to "Prince George County, Colony of Virginia". Dinwiddie County was formed from Prince George County in 1752.[2]

Halifax County was formed from Lunenburg County in 1752.[2] Lunenburg County was established on May 1, 1746, from Brunswick County,[3] which is to the southwest of Dinwiddie County.[4] Both Brunswick County and Dinwiddie County were formed from Prince George County - in 1752 and "1720-1732", respectively.[2]
