Archibald Vincent Windeyer was born about 1819 at London, Middlesex, England. He was the seventh of ten children of Charles Windeyer and Ann Mary Rudd.
He migrated with his family to New South Wales aboard the Sarah in 1828[1].
He married Flora Augusta Keene in 1859 at Raymond Terrace, New South Wales.[2]
