Funeral services for Lottie Willard, 76, West Plains, will be held at 2:30 pm Tues. in the Carter Chapel, West Plains, with Rev. Wendell page officiating. Mrs. Willard died at 1:25 am Sun in the Eastern Ozark Community Hospital, Cherokee Village, Ark. She was born jan 1, 1903 near Many Springs, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Eda Ann Jobe Williams. On Mar 3, 1927, she was married to Fred Willard. After the marriage, they established their home at Rover where Mrs. Willard was a country school teacher until 1943 when they came to West Plains and she and her husband operated a grocery store until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Willard was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of West Plains and taught Sunday school in the beginners department and the Berean class. She was also a member of World War I Barracks No. 952 Auxiliary at West Plains. Survivvors include 2 daughters, Frieda Moss, West Plains; Betty jo Stein, Houston, Tx; 1 grandson Frederick Lee Parton,, Houston, Tex; 1 brother and 2 sisters, David Williams, Thomasville; Faye Garman, Heber Springs, Ark; and Mittie Nichols, West Plains. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died July 13, 1971, and 4 brothers, Waif, Roscoe, Kibble and James Williams. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 pm this evening in the Carter Chapel at West Plains. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Carter Funeral Honme of West Plains."
