Biography
When Joseph Lafayette Williams was born on January 13, 1856, in Mount Vernon, Missouri, his father, Francis, was 40 and his mother, Rhoda, was 27. He married Lillian 'Lily' Elizabeth Hickman (1869-1956) on November 18, 1886, in Lawrence, Missouri.[1] They had one child:
Erma Drue "Drue" Williams (1887–1983)
He died on August 7, 1894, in his hometown at the age of 38, and was buried there. Lily remarried in 1900 to John W. Wolfe.[2]
