William, or "Uncle Bud" was born on March 14, 1870,, in Tennessee, USA. He was the son of Thomas Williams and Rebecca Britton.
He married Maud Swett on December 9, 1900 in Grayson County, Texas, USA.[1][2]They had one daughter, Georgia Pearl Williams.
William passed away in a Sherman, Texas hospital on May 20, 1952.[3][4] He is buried in the "McKinney Section" at the Van Alstyne Cemetery in an unmarked grave beside his wife who died fifty-one years before him.[5]
