I'm always interested in finding out more about the murder of my great-granduncle, Frank Miller, who died on April 7, 1926, in Woodville, Marshall County, Oklahoma.

I have ancestors on my father's side of the family who came to Cannon, Grayson, Texas in the 1880s. I am trying to add all of the original families of Cannon to Wiki Tree. As I was researching my ancestors, I learned that they entwined with many families of Cannon. I am also adding all of this info to my private Ancestry tree. I do know that Wiki Tree is public and anyone can edit the information if they feel they don't want the world to know about their ancestors.

I am working on the Sicilean side of my aunt's ex-husband's family, my brother-in-law's Greek family, and the Dutch/ Indonesian of my stepfather's family.

Born 1980s.

Hello 'Little Team on the Prairie' team member:

My closing message may be considered a little late, but I'm none-the-less grateful. I wanted to take this time to thank you for your participation in the 2022 Connect-a-Thon. It was a pleasure to work together to improve and expand the Wikitree. And I wanted to especially thank those team members that posted in the G2G Chat page and connected to our Discord channel. As a bonus: I learned some new techniques to take this challenge to the next level. I hope you'll join us during the next challenge!

Sincerely, Judi Stutz-25, Team Captain, Little Team On the Prairie

Hi Katrina,

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Debi

You're welcome. I live five minutes away from Oakwood Cemetery and found Waite Harden Hamilton's broken headstone. I found his memorial on Find a Grave and started connecting the family.

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Hello and Happy 2019! Thank you so much for joining Team Roses for the Scan-a-Thon.

Profiles are so much more fun with something nice to look at.

Hi Cousin Katrina,

I updated the profile for Helen (Watkins) Evans. There was no second husband so he was removed and she died in 1988 so that fact and supporting references were added.

Hi Katrina

Thank you for your message regarding the copies of the trial records and referencing them in his biography

Under a Death heading add a sub heading Trial papers. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Editing_Tips. I use =Death place three equals signs after word to create a lower heading add =Trial Papers with four equals after the words

Write a short piece about the content of the papers. Add any docket numbers then add a url for a website or scan of the document. A url is created when you upload a photograph or scan to wikitree this then can be used as a source link.

It is fascinating to have such documents about a family tragedy.

Good luck in the Scan a thon.

Hope the above helps

Janet

Happy New Year

Hi Katrina

WOW you have been busy, were the How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?

Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags for locations, Country, County or topic of interest. The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful. I have page one bookmarked for reference page

Questions click my name and ask in the comment box on my page

Janet ~ Wikitree Messenger - Merry Christmas

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree try from the comment section of your profile page

Hi Katrina,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

I am new to this website and have yet to write biographies on my ancestor's pages. I'm gathering up references from Ancestry and Family Search before writing the bio. You can find references on their profile pages.

Thank you for volunteering. You are now a full member of WikiTree.

Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:

Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
