He was born in Taunton on 26 Mar 1689 and died about 1727. His estate was inventoried on 28 Oct 1727 by wife Anna (Wilber) Williams and she was granted administration of his estate on 13 Dec 1727 in Bristol County.[1]

Marriage

Richard married Anna Wilbore most likely in Taunton about 1716. This marriage date is estimated from the approximate birth date of their first child. After Richard's death, Anna married second to Jonathan Williams, son of Thomas and Mary (Macy) Williams, in Taunton before 1727.[1]

Children

Richard and Anna had at least five children while living in Taunton. It's possible there were unrecorded children. No birth records have been found in Taunton.[1]

Research Notes

Missing Records: Most of the vital records from Taunton during 1700 - 1738 were destroyed by fire in 1738. This profile is affected by the lost records.[12]

History of daughter Anna: Martin was not certain who Anna married or what her fate was.[1] The will of Richard's brother Ebenezer Williams and a subsequent deed concerning Ebenezer's former property proves she was the Anna that married William Cobb.[10][11]
