Hugh was born in January 1898. He is the son of Oscar Williams and Cora Nelson.

  • Obituary of Oscar A. Williams summoned at age 84 in Riverside Home. Oscar A. Williams, a resident of Riverside for the past 24 years, passed away this morning at his home, 4258 Alta Vista Drive, at the age of 84 years, after a short illness. Since coming here he had lived a retired life. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Cora Williams, and four children, Miss Helen Williams of Riverside, Hugh Williams of Redlands, Mrs. Edith Lightfoot of Compton and Mrs. Dorothy MacGlashan of Arlington. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Acheson & Graham, Inc. Mr. Williams was an active member of the First Baptist church and a member of the Prophecy class in the Bible school. He was born and educated in southern Illinois. He went to Nebraska as a young man and for two terms served as county clerk of Dundy county. Returning to Monmouth, Ill., he engaged in the real estate business. He came to Riverside with his family in 1913
