Research Notes
Because she had a common name and died so young, it's tough to find any primary sources at all for Katherine. Her daughter Lavina's death record says that Katherine was born in Canada, not the US. Some people have Coeyman's Patent as Katherine's place of birth, presumably because her husband David was from there, but I haven't seen any evidence of that. There are no census records that go back far enough to be helpful.
