Biography

John was born around 1770 based on his marriage date, but see Research Notes for possible local baptisms.

Hemarried sarah Tapping in Bledlow in 1792. The marriage record shows she was living in Bledlow while he was in Townley. However there is no such place identified, Towersey seems the most likely as this is th place identified in the 2nd record.

This record also says that he was a Yeoman.

They had a large family, with the first child born in Bledlow in 1793, and the last one in 1812.

John was born in 1766.

The 1792 marriage record says that he was a Yeoman living in Towersey (and that Sarah was from Bledlow).

He passed away in 1834.

This profile has been merged. The date of birth on the other merged John Wiliams' profile was 1768.

The marriage record says that John was living in Towney in 1792. And there are three local baptisms for a John Williams, one in 1765 in Princes Risborough, one in 1766, again in Princes Risborough and one in Saunderton in 1767.

It's less than 5 miles from these places to Towersey, with Bledlow, Sarah's home parish being a mile from Princes Risborough and about 4 miles by a direct route to Towersey. So more than possible one of these is his baptism record but more information is needed.
