Mary was born about 1823 in Wales,[1] . She was the daughter of Thomas Williams, collier.
Mary Williams married Robert Canfil/Canfield in the Parish Church in Merthyr Tydfil, County of Glamorgan, Wales, on Jan. 31, 1848. At the time of her marriage, she lived in Penydarran and was a servant.[2] They were married in the presence of W. Rowland and Walter Williams.
Mary Canfield passed away in March 1870 and was buried 07 Mar 1870 in Oakhill Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
