John Williams was born 1 July 1746 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut Colony to parents John Williams and Lydia Chesebrough. He was their fifth child.
He was married to Content Denison, of Stonington, 18 January 1770 by Reverend Nathaniel Eells.[1] They had 9 children:
