Jacob Williams was born on 13 Sep 1755 in Rhinebeck Flats, Dutchess, New York Colony[1], the son of Richbell Williams and Margariet Van Dyk. He was baptized in Poughkeepsie (The Flats), Dutchess on 15 Feb 1756[2].
Jacob fought for the British in the American revolution and emmigrated to St. Stephen, New Brunswick as a United Empire Loyalist in 1783[3].
He married Lydia Pomeroy on 6 Jul 1800 in Charlotte county, New Brunswick[4].
Jacob died on 12 Apr 1834 in New Brunswick, and is buried in the Old Kirk-Mccoll United Church Cemetery, Charlotte County[5][6].
