I need help with Margaret Smouse and was hoping you could give me some input! She is my 4th Great Grandmother and every family tree I find her on shows her father as George Smouse but with a birth year much later than her own. Obviously some error has occurred in the compiling of info.

I am just curious if you are related and if you noticed that as well? I think they have our Margaret tied to the wrong George. George Burkett Smouse did have a daughter named Margaret Jane apparently, born much later.

Deborah, hope you receive this. I'm working on incorporating information from the book Great Migration Begins into pertinent profile pages on WikiTree. From his work, I believe you have an error concerning the wife of John Greene of Providence; you indicate she was Joan, daughter of Alice (Daniels) Beggarly. But actually he married Alice (Daniels) Beggarly; there was no daughter Joan. AND Anderson implies that John Greene's children were by his former wife.
