Hillery Fleming Watson was born to John Delaney Watson and Phoebe Jane Ice Watson on 25 Jan 1859 in Marion County, Virginia. [1] Hillery married Clara B. Monroe in 1889 in Marion, Virginia. [2] Hillery enlisted in the Army on 25 June 1898 and is noted as a Sergeant in Company G of the 2nd West Virginia Infantry [3] and is cited in his service record in the War with Spain. [4] Hillery died on 16 Jan 1946 and is buried in Lumberport, Marion, West Virginia. [5]
