George Ward was born on January 5, 1873 and was christened 25 December 1874 in Croxton Kerrial, Leicestershire his parents were Robert Ward and Mary King[1].
During his lifetime he was recorded in 5 censuses.
He married Fanny Smith on May 22, 1895 in Eastwell, Leicestershire[2].
He moved from the village where his paternal family had lived for several generations to the nearby town of Stamford, Lincolnshire where he lived until his sudden death.[12]
He died on June 27, 1929 in Stamford, Lincolnshire.[13][14] and was buried 29 June 1929 in Stamford Cemetery, Stamford,Lincolnshire[15]
