Biography
Reuben was born in 1846. He passed away in 1926. He "followed the sea as a mate on sailing vessels."[1]
He had relocated to Johnson's Mills when his third daughter was born where he was both a sailor and a farmer. He relocated to Sackville about 1919, presumably due to age, and he died there at age 79, from stomach cancer. His death record gives his year of birth only.[2]
Reuben married twice. 1st Sarah Ella reed, Ch. Strickland, Ruth and Daisy. 2nd Pheobe Eliza Buck. Ch. Martha Grace.

it says that Reuben and Sarah had "3 ch - she left with...children".On a. subsequent sheet it says "(3 ch. She left him)". I don't know if shetook the. children or not.
I think this is the Reuben born 1845 s/o Reuben Salisbury Ward. His wife was Eliza Buck. Elisa could be the middle name of Pheobe E. Buck.
