As you have been back on WikiTree for a while now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful, or left you with any questions? Let me know if you need any tips to help you get more of your family members added.

PS Thanks for your contributions so far! Please do return to the profiles you create to add more biographical details and sources -- this is the best way to create an interesting, accurate, and well-rounded story of your family. The easiest way to find info and sources is to use the handy RootsSearch link on the right side of any profile. Use your WikiTree login to access over 20 websites. Once you find a correct source, copy and paste the citation info and add it to the profile. Learn more about sources here.
Welcome to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Have a look at our Sources page it is also helpful.
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
This is just a note to say hi and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about WikiTree.
To contact me, please log in to WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page.
David. I just did a search for any lookup requests in Madison County Illinois and found yours. Have you found the info you wanted? I can hunt through Alton City Directories (not digitized) at the Hayner Library Genealogy and History room next time I'm there. Just message me if you want me to do that for you, with all the info you have, and I'll see what I can find.
Thanks, I'm a big fan of my name too :) I know approved your GEDCOM the other day but it looks we need to get you connected to it. If you go to My WikiTree and then to Watchlist you should be able to look through and find the WikiTree IDs for your father and mother.
Once you have those you can come back to your profile and click where it says "father?" It will take you to a page where you can add your father by his WikiTree ID. You can then do the same thing for your mother.
If you have any problems doing that, let me know. Thanks!
Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.
Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
And of course, I'm here to help in any way Im able. Just ask!
Welcome to our community, David. I just wanted to make sure you didn't have a couple of other profiles on WikiTree. Thanks for the email. You're good to go now. :)
Our Honor Code, G2G forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.
Please consider stopping by the Tree House to introduce yourself.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.
Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.
To add to what Debby said, if you have other accounts with different e-mail addresses it's important that they be merged. If you need help with this e-mail [email address removed]
Hi, David. I'm a little confused by your comment. Do you mean you already have two other profile pages or did something happen that you were never able to become a member of WikiTree? Please let me know. Thanks. :)
Because WikiTree strives to have only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and collaborate. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). That means even though you've created an open profile, someone else may add or correct information contained within that same profile. If you're lucky, they may even add an original source or a photo. :) Each new profile is a valued leaf on our global family tree.
