Biography

Pleasant Waller was born about 1790, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Pleasant is the son of John Waller and Lydia Dodson.[1]

Pleasant was left bequest in the 1808 will of his father John Waller, as follows: ". . .Item I also give and bequeath unto my son Pleasant Waller the tract of land whereon I now live to be freely enjoyed by him and his heirs forever . . . will that Pleasant Waller my son to have Negroes Abram and Daniel, Rear and her two children Mary and Jency and one coult . . ."[2]

Pleasant married Affhia Dodson on the 10th of December, 1810 in Halifax county, Virginia.[3]

Pleasant's exact date of death is unknown. He died in Pittsylvania county, Virginia sometime before the 1st of June, 1835. His widow Affhia married her second husband, Robert Townes on the 1st of June, 1835 in Pittsylvania county, Virginia.[4]
