Henry Vivian, born in 1828, was the son of Joseph Vivian and Mary Leverton. He married Mary Jane Smith in 1877. She died two years later.
Henry was listed in the 1891 census at Thurlow, Ontario; he died there in 1895. The official register of deaths shows at the top "County of Hastings, Division of Thurlow" and was signed by Dr. Walker and Geo. Wilcox, both residents of Thurlow.
www.familysearch.org creates some confusion by mentioning "Toronto, Hastings County". Toronto is the provincial capital, where his death was officially entered into provincial records; but Toronto is not located in Hastings County, while Thurlow is indeed in that county. The place of death was Thurlow.
Relatives of Henry Vivian - with that surname - were buried at Shannonville, Ontario but his own burial hasn't been found.
