Biography

Sarah C. Vardeman was born in 1791 in Virginia^[1], the daughter of William Albert Vardeman and his first wife Ann. She married Samuel McCormick in 1809 in Kentucky^[2]. They had nine children over the next three decades (their youngest daughter being born in 1838^[3]). She died in 1847 in Missouri, and was buried there^[1].

Research Notes

That Sarah was the daughter of William's first wife Ann is indirectly supported by Ann being listed as mother of Sarah's siblings Jeremiah^[4] and Mary (Polly)^[5].
