Sarah C. Vardeman was born in 1791 in Virginia[1], the daughter of William Albert Vardeman and his first wife Ann. She married Samuel McCormick in 1809 in Kentucky[2]. They had nine children over the next three decades (their youngest daughter being born in 1838[3]). She died in 1847 in Missouri, and was buried there[1].
Research Notes
That Sarah was the daughter of William's first wife Ann is indirectly supported by Ann being listed as mother of Sarah's siblings Jeremiah[4] and Mary (Polly)[5].
