Biography

Peter Campbell Ulrich was born in 1795; perhaps in Baltimore County, Maryland. His parents are unknown but are thought to be Michael Ulrich and Sarah.

Peter had a brother Jacob.

Peter married Catherine Bowser (1797-1880), daughter of Benjamin Bowser (1760-1844) and Catherine (Grome) Bowser of York County, Pennsylvania.

Peter and Catherine were the parents of Sarah (1820), Michael (1822), Benjamin (1827), Catherine (1828), Samuel (1830), Joanna (1832), Amanda (1838) and Lavina.

In 1840, Peter Ulrich is listed as head of household with one male 40-49 (Peter age 45), one female 40-49 (wife Catherine age 43), one male 15-19 (son Michael age 18), one female 15-19 (daughter Sarah age 20?), two males 10-14 (son Benjamin age 13 and Samuel age 10), one female 10-14 (daughter Catherine age 12), one female 5-9 (daughter Joanna age 8) and one female under 5 (daughter Amanda age 2) in Nimishillen Township, Stark County, Ohio [image 13/24].
