Biography

William Richard Bennett Turrill was born at Great Milton in Oxfordshire in England in 1873. ^[1]

1881 census: William Turrill was living at Great Milton in Oxfordshire with his parents, John and Annie M., and their other children. His age was given as 8, implying a birth date in 1872 or 1873. His birthplace was given as Great Milton, Oxfordshire. He was at school. ^[2]

After being ordained to the Church of England, he married and immigrated to the U.S. As a priest of the Episcopal Church, he served in the Pacific Northwest for his entire life. He passed away in 1941.

William Richard Bennett Turrill, eldest son of the late John Turrill, of Great Milton, Oxfordshire; and Annie Elizabeth Cookes, youngest daughter of Charles E. Cookes, of Richmond, Yorkshire, and Bournemouth; were married at Trinity Episcopal Church, El Dorado, Kansas, U.S.A., on 1 November 1910. ^[3]
