Biography

Lavinia was born in 1828. She was the daughter of Armstead Townes and Elizabeth Giles. ^[1] In 1860, Lavinia is recorded on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi with her brother William Giles Townes. ^[2]She passed away in 1917. ^[3]

Research Notes

There is a conflict regarding who Lavinia's mother is, however after dates of birth and death for Rebecca Brooks Townes are filled in, she is excluded as Lavinia's mother.
