Biography

Penelope Thrall was born about 1695 in Rehoboth, Bristol county, Massachusetts Bay.

Penelope was married to James Welch. They had several children, amongst whom these two sons mentioned by name in their father's will:

1. Joshua Welch, b. abt 1715;
2. William Welch, b. abt 1720/21.

On 7 June 1756 Penelope's husband James Welch drew up his last will and testament, wherein sons Joshua and William are mentioned by name; James's wife and daughters are also mentioned, but not by name. ^[1]

James Welch died after 7 June 1756 in Voluntown, New London, Connecticut Colony; ^[2] thus, if Penelope Thrall Welch was still alive and married to James Welch at the time of the writing of his will on 7 June 1756, then she too would have died after 6 July 1756.
