Llewellyn was born in 1852. He was the son of John Thomas and Sarah Gleason. He passed away in 1918.

In 1870 John Thomas (48, b. Wales, farmer) headed a Fox Twp., IL (Kendall County) household with Sarah J. Thomas (37, b. NY), Luellen Thomas (male, 18, b. IL, works on farm), Mary E. Thomas (10, b. IL), and Julia Nelson (18, b. Norway, dom. servant).

In 1880 an L. Thomas (28, b. IL, farmer, father b. Wales, mother b. NY) headed a Fox, IL (Kendall County) household with wife Minnie Thomas (20, b. IL, birthplace of both parents listed as unknown) and brother-in-law George Droley? (16, b. IL, works on farm, birthplace of both parents listed as unknown). Llewellyn may have been named for an uncle, as a Lewellyn Thomas ( -1900) was listed in FindaGrave as being buried in Millington Newark Cemetery in Millington, IL (Kendall County), b. Cardiganshire, Wales and brother of John.

A FamilySearch family tree listed Fern G. Thomas (1880-1884) and Ethel Grace Thomas (1882-1884) as children of Llewellyn William Thomas (1852-1918) and Wilhelmina M. Derby (1859-1933).[1] Documentation needs to be found on these daughters.
