Rosemary was born at Hokitika, and lived at Kaniere with her parents and two older sisters, till the family moved to Jollie Street in Hokitika in 1957. Educated at Westland High school, Worked at her father's Garage (service station) during the school holidays, serving petrol. Worked at Hokitika Borough Council as a typist/Clerk before training as a Community Nurse (Now Enrolled Nurse) in Christchurch. Moved to Perth Australia in 1973, Met husband (and) married in 1978. Son born 1978, Daughter born 1979. In 1980s reentered the workforce, working night shift at a retirement village. In 2000 completed her Nursing degree at Edith Cowan University. Nursed in Orthopaedics. Retired in 2014. In retirement enjoys walking in nature, photography, Writing, - self published "The Kiwi Kingdom series" and "Captives" Making craft to raise funds for charity keeps her busy. Rosemary and Roland are active volunteers with "Friends of Yellagonga Park" helping with planting, watering and weeding to restore areas which were previously farm land.
