Biography

Thomas Tirrill, son of Thomas and Lucy (Taylor) Tirrill, was born at Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay on 17 December 1759.[1]

Thomas married, first, Mary "Polly" Stoddard at Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 10 May 1781. Polly died at Cummington, Hampshire, Massachusetts on 18 October 1788.[2] Thomas and Polly had one child, born at Cummington:

  1. Daniel, b. 21 December 1781

Thomas married, second, Deborah Ford, daughter of Luke and Hannah (Reed) Ford, at Cummington, Hampshire, Massachusetts on 7 May 1789.[3] They had six children, each born at Cummington:

  1. David, b. 27 March 1790.
  2. Harvey, b. 1 February 1793.
  3. Thomas, b. 26 February 1795.
  4. Polly, b. 16 October 1796.
  5. Annis/Annes, b. 30 April 1800.
  6. Zenas, b. 21 December 1801.

Thomas, called a "pensioner" (i.e. of the Revolutionary War), died at Cummington on 3 December 1833.[4]
