Norvel Roberson Terrell was the eighth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on February 18, 1858 in Rapids Parish and died on April 21, 1940 in Pineville, Rapids Parish, Louisiana, at the age of eighty-two. Norvel was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Norvel, age twenty-one, married Frances Rebecca Crawford; age twenty-nine, in about 1879 in Rapids Parish. Norvel and Francis had eight children, William Franklin, Willie, Jesse, James Norvel, Robert Crawford, Robert, Elijah Matt, and Lucy Terrell. Taken from The Saucier Family Geneology
