Andrew Swallow was born in 1760. In 1785, he married Catherine Kinder.

Andrew was a Private in the Pennsylvania Troops during the American Revolution and fought at the Battle of Brandywine. He donated to the 1816-1817 penitentiary fund; fifty cents is what he donated. In 1814, Andrew received from the state of Tennessee 296 and 1/2 acres for his service.

He received a pension for his military service (Pension Number: S*W61) beginning March 4, 1831 of $26.66 per year. Andrew died in 1843.
