Research Notes

Upon saving 19 October 2018, a warning to check the data was received because Stith-46 died 1734 & Hardaway-179 (attached as a child) was born 1741. That profile has been detached (it was for a Jane Hardaway born in Pennsylvania).

Middle Name:

Drewry: In Reliques of the Rives (Ryves), her middle name is spelled "Drewry":[7]
"Julia Rives, Father is Richard Augustus Rives she marries her third cousin, Joseph Williamson Boisseau, 15 Apr 1824. He is son of Joseph Boisseau and his wife Mildred Coleman, daughter of Capt Williamson Coleman, and his wife, Millian Hardaway, daughter of James Hardaway 1719-1770 - son of Thomas Hardaway and Jane Drewry Hardaway - and his wife Millian Stanfield."
Drury: Based on the transcription of the baptism record for their son, which shows Drury,[5] I believe "Drewry" in Reliques of the Rives (Ryves) may be a misspelling or may reflect the spelling adopted by a later descendant. Most other sources cited for this family show the spelling as Drury, also used by most Stith and Drury researchers. In addition, in Childs' article "Amendments to Reliques of the Rives", page 357,[8] the name is not given as a middle name but a possible surname: "... descended from Thomas Hardaway who married Jane (Drewry or Stith?)." This confusion (Drury or Stith) is usually associated with Jane Drury who married John Stith (see her profile). ~ Noland-165 16:23, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

Parents

Johnston's article (citation below) says that "it is probable that John and Jane Stith had a daughter who married Thomas Hardaway, since there is a patent in 1686 to John Stith endorsed by John and Jane Stith to Thomas Hardaway...." However, a transcript of John Stith's 1690 will calls daughter Jane "now wife of Capt Daniel Luellin".
Note - This profile ([Stith-46]) is attached as daughter of Drury Stith and Susanna Bathurst. See Susanna's profile for additional information.

Her date of birth doesn’t work for her to be mother of Susannah. I highly doubt she gave birth at age 11.
probably it's Susannah's birth that's wrong ... of the profiles attached as her children, two have birth years - both 1740 - which seems odd for for someone married in 1722 (which is probably the basis for her birth year being c1706). Susannah's profile has her death as after 1785 - a source for that would be helpful also.

just noticed that text has her parents as John and Jane Stith, while she's attached to their son Drury's profile ... who married Susannah Bathurst in 1694, so that works with this Jane's 1695 birth (although her birth year/his marriage year might be artifacts of each other).
