Hardaway-54 and Hardaway-8 appear to represent the same person because: comment on Hardaway-8 notes that "Southside Virginian has Thomas Hardaway as the son of Thomas and Jane (Stith) Hardaway." DAR records (Thomas had "Patriotic Service") show Thomas Hardaway m Agnes Thweatt as d. after 1782... could your "after 1792" be a typo? Hardaway-8 has died 1789. Anyway - I believe these profiles to be for the same Thomas Hardaway, son of Thomas & Jane Stith. If you disagree, please postpone the merge by setting it as an unmerged match & let me know why (Thomas m Agnes is my 7x-gr-grandfather). Thanks!

Southside Virginian, p 24, cite "the Bible record of this couple...states that Thomas Hardaway and Agnes Thweatt were married 24 Dec. 1737. The birthdates for the following children are from the Bible." (and that list matches the children listed for this profile). Southside Virginian has Thomas Hardaway as the son of Thomas and Jane (Stith) Hardaway.

An article in The William and Mary Quarterly (http://www.jstor.org/stable/1918742) says Thomas married 1st Jane ___ (maybe Stith) and 2nd Agnes ___, with whom he had 8th child, Susannah (citing BPR September 27, 1740). The earlier 7 children with Jane don't match children listed in this profile.
