Biography

Mary Stirling was born on 28 Jun 1881 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents James Stirling and Margaret Anderson, both immigrants from Scotland. She was a milliner in the 1900 census in her father's household in Allegheny, PA. Her father was a baker, and she had older siblings born in Scotland and younger siblings born in Ohio.

She married Robert Hardie Leitch, an attorney, in 1905 in Pennsylvania.^[1] Children: Margaret Anderson, Addison Hardie, Robert Hardie, Stirling.

In 1940 she is recorded with her husband and son Stirling in Blount, TN.

She died on 7 May 1962 in Fairfax, Missouri.
