Biography

Nola Mae Stetson was born in August, 1926 at Colington, North Carolina. [1] She was the 5th (youngest) child and daughter of John Tuttle Stetson, Jr. and Etta Belle (Pugh) Stetson. [2]

She was Married three times:
Married First (1) John "Johnnie" Alvin Hartley, 28 Jan 1942 at South Mills, North Carolina [3] They Divorce (Annullment), 9 Sep 1943 - under legal age when marriage ceremony was performed [4]

Married Second (2) Edward Gremstead Dozier, 7 Jan 1944 at Elizabeth City, North Carolina. [5] He dies in an Auto Accident that also kills his 3 youngest daughters, 3 Aug 1963 on Rt 165, in Virginia Beach. [6][7][8]

  • 1967 - Living at 601 Bethel Road, Chesapeake, Virginia [9]

She passed away in 2021, age 94. She is buried in the Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Virginia Beach, Virginia [1]

  • Note on locations: Collington/Colington, and Colington Island are located on the outer banks of North Carolina, just west of Kill Devil Hills, north of Nags Head and south of Kitty Hawk.
