John Roddam Spencer Stanhope was a an English artist of the second wave of the Pre-Raphaelite movement.
John was born on 20 Jan 1829, and baptised at All saints, Cawthorne, Yorkshire on 1 Feb 1829. He was the son of John Spencer-Stanhope and Elizabeth Coke. [1]
He married Elizabeth King in 1859. [2] [3]
He passed away in 1908. [4]
